Reminders
Please make sure to attend your scheduled appointments. During your treatment sessions, we will assess your progress and advance your plan of care. It is understood that some days you may not feel like attending a session, however often the best progress is made when you are having the most symptoms so the therapist is able to address them while they are happening.
You are able to attend your pelvic therapy sessions during your menstrual cycle. Internal treatment is generally not indicated for every session so if you are not comfortable with internal treatments during this time, that is your choice.
If the therapist has given you bladder diaries or other homework during your session, please bring these to your next session. If you purchased therapy devices, please bring them to all sessions.
Most importantly, please remember Pelvic Floor Therapy is not an instant fix. It requires follow-through and consistency. Sometimes you may feel an increase in symptoms after treatment. This is common but don’t be discouraged as your body is adjusting to its new normal.
