About Me
Lauri Stumph MOT, OTR/L
Originally from the cold tundra of Minnesota, I am an Occupational Therapist who has been coming to Yuma during the winter seasons to provide occupational therapy services within the community at various Yuma rehabilitation facilities. A couple years ago, I found myself having difficulty finding a pelvic health provider during a struggle with embarrassing and stressful urinary incontinence and tailbone pain. During my search for relief and conversations I had with pelvic floor occupational therapists and friends, I found a huge need for pelvic floor therapists, not just in Yuma but nationwide. It was my ah-ha moment! With that, I dove headfirst into applying my occupational therapy experience to this speciality, taking classes, collaborating, researching, and treating patients from the exciting and challenging perspective of a pelvic floor occupational therapist. I’ve developed a deep passion for treating this population which has been missing a vital piece of their healing puzzle, even after seeing specialist after specialist (an average of seven!!). After a final taste of another frigid northern winter, my husband and I (and two pups) decided to make Yuma our year-round home. I am excited to bring these much needed services to the Yuma, AZ area.
My Goal
I want my clients to feel better, live better and be better. I want to empower my clients to take control of their pelvic health. I will help my clients achieve the goals and life that are important to them through my client-centered, holistic based practice. I aim to use my specialized knowledge of the pelvic floor to start my client on their healing journey while collaborating with the client and other women’s health professionals when needed to ensure my clients reach their 100%.
